Hannah Hann

Hannah Hann is undoubtedly our most "local" Shetland artist, having been born in Gutcher, which is only a mile down the road from the gallery, although she now lives in Norfolk. Her degree is from Falmouth Art School and she has travelled extensively. Her work brings a smile to the face of everyone who enters the gallery. Hannah tells me that her work is often unplanned and intuitive, and that she lets the first few brushstrokes point her in the right direction. This gives her work an astonishing vibrancy and immediacy, with a huge element of charm. Hannah is the daughter of another of our favourite artists, Nick Barnham.
